Reconnect with yourself

This simple but effective exercise invites you to reconnect with yourself by using the fingers of your hand as a guide. Each question represents an opportunity to reflect on important aspects of your life:
  1. What am I proud of? Think about your qualities and achievements.
  2. What do I focus on? Consider where your attention and energy are directed.
  3. What do I dislike? Identify things that bother or drain you.
  4. What do I love? Reflect on what and who brings you joy, and how to strengthen those relationships.
  5. What do I want to improve? Recognize areas where you seek growth and improvement.

Each question represents a main topic, so dive deeper in order to gain different insights and they will help in your self-reflection. Write the concrete aspects with each question, in this stage you can still work with concepts, however try to focus on making it more concrete enough and avoid generalities. Example on qualities: insteading of stating organizational skills, try to detail specific like planning events or coordinating team projects. This will help you further to build your own roadmap.

Podcast 3*

Once you’ve identified our concepts, we now take the time to explore each one in more depth. Write down specific examples or experiences that relate to your answers, provide some more details so you really capture the relevant elements, and think about the importance of the aspects you have written down.

After having completed the different questions, step back from your reflection. Give your mind time to process. Revisit your answers later with fresh eyes, after 2 days you revisit your reflection, and if you have asked friends or family for input, join their input with your own reflections.  Elaborate further and by the end you will have a first picture of your inner self awaken!
